Placing the power of personalisation and authenticity back into the hands of travellers

Have you ever noticed that every travel agency wall is covered with tour product brochures?

An example of shop walls from other agencies - you won't find this in my shop because I focus on service, not products

Why I Started Me Time Holidays & Travel

For years, I’d hear friends and colleagues share their travel stories, not just about the amazing places they’d been but about the sense of unmet expectations when using travel agents.

Long before I ever thought of becoming one myself, these conversations got me curious: what are people getting from travel agents that they can’t get from booking on their own?

Time and again, I heard the same theme: clients went to an agent seeking advice and guidance on how to create the perfect trip, and walked out having paid a deposit on a packaged product.

They came away thinking that the only way to achieve their holiday dream was to go with an off-the-shelf offering. They had hoped for personalised insight but ended up choosing from a set menu of travel packages that, whilst they looked amazing in the brochure, didn’t quite match their vision.

The common theme I kept hearing from my friends was that they walked into the travel agency looking for advice and guidance and walked out having purchased a product... what... just... happened?

Turns out, traditional travel agents sell products, not service, not advice.

I’ve always been a hands-on traveller, preferring to research and plan my own trips, so I never fully understood traditional travel agents—until I started thinking about my own business.

When I decided to step into the travel industry, my first-hand experience showed me why so many people felt let down.

The traditional model most agents follow is sales-focused and product-driven.

They’re trained to sell packages that earn commission, not to create customised experiences directly with providers.

But that’s never sat well with me.

I wanted something different—something that prioritised the traveller’s needs, not preferred supplier arrangements.

That’s why I started Me Time Holidays & Travel, a business built on two key principles:

Service-Oriented: I’m here to serve you, no matter where you want to go, what activities you want to do, or what your budget is. Every traveller deserves thoughtful, personalised support.

Experience-Oriented: I focus on creating travel experiences that reflect your version of "me time"—whether it’s adventure, relaxation, or something in between.

It's not about selling a product; it's about creating a memorable, meaningful experience.

The only product I sell is the relationship you and I will develop as we work together on making your dream holiday a memorable, meaningful experience.

This belief is why I offer my three-tier service model.

It’s designed to give you the flexibility and the attention you deserve, from planning your itinerary down to the smallest detail, ensuring your holiday is exactly how you want it to be.
